The Cycling Culture Museum in Taiwan

Giant Group has built the “Cycling Culture Museum” in Taichung Science Park, next to the Giant headquarters. The inauguration ceremony was held on July 2, 2020.  The completion of the “Cycling Culture Museum” provides a new venue for experiencing, exploring bicycles and cycling proposals.

This exhibition hall was designed by Joshua Jih Pan, the first architect in Taiwan to be awarded an honorary academician by the American Institute of Architects. The unique arc shape and flowing lines condensing the speed and freedom of the bicycle. Surrounded by other companies’ boxy workshops, it looks so unique. From the beginning of the first steerable bicycle 200 years ago, the “Cycling Culture Museum” combines interactive technology and craft aesthetics. The eight theme pavilions showcase the various appearances of bicycles. Through thematic curation and multiple perspectives, the cycling culture is explained. The “Cycling Culture Museum” is expecting to become an important venue for sharing cycling culture and scientific knowledge with everyone.

The Giant Group held a warm inauguration ceremony from 1:30 to 4:00 pm on July 2 (Thursday). On the morning of that day, there was a media interview and guided tour. Founder of Giant Group – King Liu, Supreme Consultant -Tony Lo, Chairman -Bonnie Tu, CEO – Young Liu, JJPan and Partners,Architects and Planners – Joshua Jih Pan, Chief Operating Officer of Cycling Culture Museum – Mr. Wang Jiahao and others co-chaired the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration ceremony invited industry partners to share this meaningful new bicycle cultural moment
